TURK KOMPOZIT 2019 COMPOSITE SUMMIT INFRASTRUCTURE SECTOR PRESS RELEASE

TURK KOMPOZIT 2019 Composite Summit will bring together all the industry professionals in Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center on October 10-12, 2019.

TURK KOMPOZIT 2019, which is the largest, presentation and exhibition area for the Turkish Composite sector, aims to perform a larger and more effective Summit in terms of participation thanks to its expanded content. As the date of exhibition that we’re getting ready for approaches, some information about the exhibition content is presented below:

One of the significant components of the exhibition this year is that the products and solutions for the infrastructure industry will be displayed. This industry is a field where high performance, light, high-strength and durable products are combined with innovative designs. Composite material technologies provide light materials with high specific strength to the infrastructure industry. Composite materials offers solutions at every stage such as design, improvement, renovation, maintenance/repair, operation, sustainment etc. with their many advantageous features like forming, strength, and corrosion resistance and so on.

In 2017, the global FRP pipe market reached an estimated $3,505 million by value and 1,570.4 million pounds in terms of volume shipment. The market is expected to grow to 54,220.6 million by 2023 at a CAGR of 3.1% by value shipment over the forecast period from 2018 to 2023.

Increase in construction of water supply systems, development of sewage treatment, and recovery in oil and gas market are the major driver for FRP pipe market. The water/wastewater segment is expected to have the highest growth potential during the forecast period. Due to an increase in urbanization and growing population, governments are focusing on the development of infrastructure facilities, the construction of new water supply and treatment systems, and the replacement of existing outdated pipeline systems. New pipeline systems are replacing those that are more than three decades old in the areas of sewage, water/V/astewater management, and irrigation applications. All these activities lead to future market growth in the FRP pipe market.

Composite material’s unique properties such as lightness, strength, no corrosion risk and easy installation factors increase the use of GRP in pipe industry. Especially for underwater slabs and applications over 800mm diameter, GRP pipes up to 40 bar pressure contain the most reasonable solutions.

When the number of producers, number of production facilities and production amounts operating in the GRP pipe sector in our country are analyzed, it will be seen that the GRP pipe sector in our country has reached a significant size in the world scale and the current installed capacity in our country is above the country’s need. However, in terms of both irrigation and drinking water investments, the Turkish market also has the greatest potential in close geography.

We are waiting for all the sector members to this great exhibition, wishing you enjoyable and efficient sharing opportunities.
